Mushtaq Ahmed has been appointed as bowling coach for west indies cricket team. Perhaps in the next month, he will join the west indies cricket team. Sources claim that he might be appointed for short-term coaching which can be converted to long-term coaching later on.
The interesting fact about the former leg-spinner is that he was the part of winning world cup team in 1992 along with his team-mates. He has been done his duty as a coach for England cricket teams for six years. After that, he returned to Pakistan and serving leg-spinner services with PCB.
In his latest statement, he quoted some words to west indies cricket board as
“It’s a privilege to work with West Indies cricket team. A team with a very rich history of class, commitment and sheer dominance in the cricket world. The talent from this part of the world has been exceptional and I am quite excited to work with them,” Ahmed said.
Ahmed has represented Pakistan in his international career and has taken 185 wickets in test cricket while his record in one day game is also satisfied. Mushtaq Ahmed has played 144 international one days games in his career and has hunted 161 wickets.
